Six months ago, I attended a Meet-up Group in Boulder, Colorado and met this lovely couple in search for a wedding cake. They scheduled a wedding tasting for a gluten-free Lemon Cake and a Chocolate and Vanilla Marble Cake. They just loved the cakes.
The Gluten-Free Lemon Cake was four layers of Almond Joconde Sponge,Lemon Jam, Lemon Curd Cream, and Lemon Buttercream.
The Chocolate and Vanilla Marble Cake was three layers of cake soaked with vanilla syrup and a chocolate buttercream filling and finished with vanilla buttercream. For the Ying and Yang design on top of the cake I used Sugar Fondant then brushed it with black food coloring ink.
