Aged Cheddar Crackers as everyone says they are better than Cheez-its! Made with lots of butter and aged cheddar cheese and a bit of flour. These crackers last for two weeks but they have never lasted that long because I eat them right away as soon as they come out of the oven. Super easy recipe!!
1.)Combine the butter and cheese and cream until the butter is smooth in a mixer or a food processor. Do not over cream.
2.)Add the rest of the ingredients and mix until combined. Do not over mix or the crackers will be tough and not super flaky.
3.)Put the dough in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap and rest for 2 hours or overnight.
4.)Roll out to 1/8″ and cut desired shapes or cut 1″ X 1″ squares.
5.)Place on a sheet tray with parchment you can place them fairly close to each other the crackers do not expand much.
Bake until light in color.
